Bitumen-polymer sealant of hot application in the form of a briquette in a polyethylene film.
Scope of application:
the sealant Abris BP is intended for sealing of deformation seams and cracks of concrete and asphalt concrete coverings of airfields and road surfaces.

Depending on climatic zones, three grades of sealant are produced: Abris BP-G25, Abris BP-G35, Abris BP-G50.
Application of Abris BP sealing compound depending on grade in accordance with GOST 30740-2000.

Sealants should be located at a distance of more than 1 m from heat sources. The warranty period of storage is 12 months from the date of manufacture. | ||
Method of application:
Before carrying out the work, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work:
- The sealant together with the polyethylene film should be divided into several parts and loaded into a boiler, where it should be heated to 180 °C, mixing thoroughly. Heating is recommended to be carried out in melting plants equipped with temperature control and mixing systems. Before warming up, it is necessary to remove the cardboard packaging and loosely fitting plastic wrap.
- Thoroughly clean the seams and cracks from dust, dirt and dry the surface.
- Carry out the priming of the seam walls with a polymer primer (in accordance with the design decision).
- Fill the seams with hot sealant flush with the edges of the airfield coating. Filling of cracks and seams is carried out with a sealant heated to operating temperature using specialized fillers or manual applicators. In case of a sealant spill on the coating surface or the formation of surges, it is necessary to remove them with heated scrapers or other devices.
- After filling, apply mineral powder to the sealant.
It is recommended to fill expansion joints, as well as fill cracks of asphalt concrete pavements at air temperature of at least plus 5 °С and absence of precipitation. It is possible to perform work at lower temperatures, provided that the surface temperature of the structure is not lower than plus 5 °С, using thermal guns or greenhouses.
