Protection of structural joints against moisture

We offer waterproofing material Abris WS, designed for use in concrete work to protect structural and working joints from penetration of pressure moisture and hydrostatic pressure during the construction and repair of underground concrete and other building structures, places of passage of utilities, channels and tunnels.

Protection of structural joints against moisture

Advantages:

  • Simple and quick installation of the element;
  • No need in welding due to self-adhesive outer layer;
  • Possibility to perform works under conditions of negative temperatures;
  • Possibility to manufacture material according to customer's standard sizes;
  • Operation temperature from minus 60 °C to plus 180 °C.

Sealant Abris WS-cord

Waterproofing material Abris WS is a self-adhesive plastic material based on polymer binder and bentonite.

In a closed volume, when exposed to water, the material expands,  filling all cracks and voids, and creates impermeable water:

Application Technology:

Works on sealing are recommended to be carried out at a temperature not below minus 10°C. The cord is installed immediately before concreting. Before applying Abris WS, the surface of concrete is cleaned from contaminants and ice. It is permitted to install Abris WS on wet surface. Standing water shall be removed from the surface prior to installation of the cord.

Prior to installation of Abris WS cord, release coating is removed from one side. Abris  WS cord is mounted on a closed surface by pressing in any mechanical manner through the release coating layer. In this case, a tight, without gaps, adjoining the cord to the surface must be ensured. It is recommended to press the cord so that as a result of its plastic deformation, the contact surface of the cord and the surface to be protected is not less than the diameter of the cord. The release coating is then removed completely. The cords are butt-connected.
