Waterproofing of foundation and wall interfaces with Abris materials
The interface between the foundation and the walls of the building is one of the most biodegradable. It is through these nodes that groundwater usually penetrates (infiltrates), as well as moisture from atmospheric precipitation into the thickness of the enclosing structures (walls) of the building.
As cut-off waterproofing, rolled bitumen materials are used, which often do not provide waterproof. Both in monolithic and especially in prefabricated block foundations, as a rule, there is no smooth outer surface, and therefore, rolls in individual places do not abut close to concrete surfaces. As a result, punctures are possible during work, and one small hole can nullify all waterproofing. In addition, it is almost impossible to detect a defect.
Given this characteristic, it is rational to use the Abris S-DB waterproofing material as cut-off waterproofing. Having internal reinforcement made of galvanized steel, this material is practically impossible to damage both during installation and the entire life of the structure.
