The Sealing Materials Plant, a developer and manufacturer of materials with high consumer properties, has been actively cooperating with the country's leading research centers since the first days of its establishment. The quality characteristics of Abris products are documented by the expert opinion of certified laboratories.

At the end of May, specialists from the Sealing Materials Plant visited JSC NIFKhI im. L.Ya.Karpova in Obninsk.

 

• Currently, the Obninsk branch of NIFHI conducts fundamental research and development on:
• creation of a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals (RPMs);
• improvement of radiochemical technology for the production of radiopharmaceuticals;
• improvement of nuclear-physical technologies for doping semiconductors;
• creation of radiation-modified, radiation-crosslinked substances, materials and technology for their production;
• radiation physics and materials science of ferroelectrics, semiconductors and glasses;
• neutronography and dynamics of crystals of various classes.

The visit of the plant's specialists was initially determined - these are tests of the degree of weakening of the surface with sources of ionizing radiation using the radiation-protective material Abris RZ (TU 6990-012-52471462-2009).

Pilot tests of Abris RZ were carried out for a number of indicators: demonstration of adhesive properties, confirmation of a decrease in radiation indicators after installation and use of the provided materials.

According to the results of pilot tests, together with specialists from JSC NIFHI named after V.I. L.Ya.Karpova compiled a report that reflects the positive values of the weakening properties of the radiation-protective material Abris.

In fact, the effective test indicators of Abris RZ materials used to reduce the dose rate of gamma radiation received by personnel from process equipment, the specialists of ZGM LLC have drawn up a plan to expand the Abris RZ line. For the development of this area, it is planned to build additional production sites and their technical equipment.
