Sealing Materials Plant
Manufacturer of materials and technologies Abris.
Today, in terms of the level of development of the nuclear industry, Russia is included in the super-elite of the developed countries of the planet. Over the past decades, nuclear energy technology has risen to the highest level.
In accordance with the progressive needs of the nuclear industry, the Sealing Materials Plant is also improving Abris materials and technologies. The history of cooperation between BGM and nuclear industry enterprises goes back more than 15 years, when our anti-corrosion materials Abris were used for the first time at several power units of the country.
Most recently, specialists from the Sealing Materials Plant paid a working visit to the Kursk NPP, where they presented our unique developments for Atomprom:
Abris RZ barite panels, which are widely used in nuclear centers, non-destructive testing facilities, medical facilities, etc.;
The project "Industrial wallpaper", aimed at minimizing the radiation impact on the environment and reducing the cost of disposal;
Radiation protective mats RZM Abris, designed to protect the personnel of radiation hazardous facilities from the effects of ionizing radiation at power plants (NPP) and other facilities.
The fact is that during the operation of nuclear power plants, part of the process equipment is contaminated with technogenic radionuclides, which adversely affects the maintenance personnel during operation and during scheduled preventive repairs.
The use of Abris RZ materials will make it possible to reduce the dose rate of ionizing radiation on the surface of the equipment to acceptable values without affecting the operational characteristics of the equipment. Also, this material is widely used in the management of radioactive waste in terms of protecting personnel from the negative effects of ionizing radiation.
At the meeting, tasks were announced, and BGM specialists have already proposed their possible solutions. Following the results of the meeting, all the wishes of the operating organization will form the basis for the modernization of existing Abris materials. We consider the development of these materials as a serious contribution to the creation of ultra-reliable nuclear facilities of a new generation.
Interest from NPP specialists was shown both in the presented materials and in other lines of Abris materials. Plans for further cooperation have been outlined.
