Before applying the sealant, the work surface must be prepared — dried, cleaned of dirt and dust, and in winter from ice. Remove the exfoliated outer layer of rust and traces of corrosion from the rusty surface.
Sealing works are not recommended to be performed at an outdoor temperature below minus 20 °C, in rain, snow, fog. If necessary, before applying the sealant, the surface must be treated with Abris Rms mastic, or degreased with acetone. If the outside air temperature is below plus 5 °C, work can be carried out only after the sealant has been held for 24 hours at a temperature not lower than plus 15 °C, it is recommended to use thermal equipment during installation.
When installing Abris ms sealant, short-term exposure to temperatures up to plus 120 °C is possible.
The anti-adhesive coating must be removed from the part, the part must be applied to the work surface, pressed tightly or rolled with a roller through the anti-adhesive coating.
When working with a sealant, no special protective equipment is required for workers.
