Heat-shrinkable cuff Abris S-T is produced on the basis of Abris S-T sealant, which is a waterproofing material consisting of a heat-shrinkable tape based on heat-stabilized low-density polyethylene, combined with a mastic-polymer or polymer-bitumen layer as an adhesive.

Application area:

The heat-shrink sleeve Abris S-T is designed to provide high-quality protection against corrosion of the zone of welded joints of steel oil and product pipelines and branches from them, as well as to repair places of damaged insulation of pipelines, gas pipelines, oil pipelines, water pipelines in highway conditions.

Heat-shrinkable cuff Abris S-T is supplied as a kit

The cuff kit consists of:

- heat-shrinkable cuff Abris S-T-DTT (TU 5772-003-43008408-99);

- locking plate Abris S-T-DTT (TU 5772-003-43008408-99);

- one-component primer Abris R-NK (TU 5775-004-52471462-2003) or two-component epoxy primer (PE-MP protective primer TU 20.30.22-001-59859858-2021).

The heat-shrinkable cuff is available both as a set (ready-made cuts for a certain pipe diameter) and in a roll for self-cutting parts.

The geometric dimensions of the heat-shrinkable cuff depend on the outer diameter of the insulated pipe.

Application technology

Includes the following stages:

 

  • Preparation of the surface of the welded joint and adjacent areas at a distance of at least 200 mm (brush or abrasive cleaning from dust, dirt, rust, moisture removal, degreasing).
  • Processing the adjoining factory coating at a distance of at least 100 mm with metal brushes to roughen the surface layer.
  • Primer preparation by mixing the components (when using a two-component epoxy primer).
  • Apply primer to prepared surface.
  • Applying a collar with the required tightness around the welded joint area.
  • Cuff shrinkage.
  • Installing the lock plate so that the top edge of the overlap runs under the middle of the lock plate
