Waterproofing material Abris VS-B (Swelling waterproofing)

Packaging: Corrugated cardboard boxes
TU: 5772-008-52471462-2007

 The waterproofing material Abris VS-B is a mastic-polymer mass from dark gray to black. Produced in the form of a file-package for an air gun or a manual gun for sealants. The material has good adhesion to both dry and wet substrates. Upon contact with water, the material expands in volume and fills all voids, actively resists water backwater.

Instructions for use

* Sealing works are not recommended for outdoor air temperatures below minus 20°C.

Used equipment, tools, materials:

metal spatula;

pneumatic gun for folic tubes, 600 ml;

knife or scissors;

rag.

Preparation of the sealant:

 The sealant is completely ready for use and does not require preheating. At an outside air temperature below plus 5°C, work can be carried out only after the sealant has been exposed for 24 hours at a temperature not lower than plus 15°C.

Surface preparation:

Clean the inlet opening from dirt, dust, grease, cement mortar residues, ice, frost, etc. to the depth specified by the project. At the sealing depth specified by the project, install a sealant flow limiter. It can be foam rubber or any material embossed in the gap. It is possible to apply the sealant on both dry and wet surfaces. Standing water must be removed from the surface before work is carried out.

Sealant application:

Take out the file-package with Abris VS-B material from the box. Cut off the clip from the file package with a knife or scissors. Insert the file-package into the gun with the end with the clip inside. Using a pneumatic gun, fill the gap between the surface of the channel and the cable or pipe with sealant.
Filling the channel with sealant is recommended to start from the bottom third of the entry hole to the top of the channel surface so as to tightly fill the gap between the cable (or pipe) and the channel surface. After filling 1/3 of the channel volume, seal the sealant and evenly distribute it with any available tool around the cable (cable bundle) or pipe. Then, the remaining space of the channel is sequentially filled on both sides, for which the gun with the sealant protruding from the nozzle is evenly moved around the cable or pipe. When filling the channel with sealant, there should be no voids and gaps. The thickness of the separating layer between the cables and the walls of the channel must be at least 10-15 mm. The thickness of the channel filling with sealant is determined by the project, while the recommended minimum thickness is 100mm. The cavity of the channel remaining after filling (the minimum recommended filling distance from the edge of the channel is 50 mm) should be cleaned with a rag to remove sealant residues. Prepare the cement mortar and fill the cavity flush with the wall with it. Smooth out the outer surface with a spatula. The curing time of the cement mortar at a temperature of +20 °C is about 16-20 hours.

 Sealant storage conditions:

 Store in a dry place.

Security measures:

When working with Abris VS-B sealant, no special protective equipment is required for workers.

Industry:

Сonstruction.
