Abris barite panel for industrial use is a combined panel consisting of a radiation-protective part (barite-filled Abris material, lead plate), lined with galvanized steel. The thickness and design of the radiation protection part is formed depending on the required lead equivalent.

Scope of application:

designed to protect building structures from ionizing radiation as a covering for walls, ceilings, doors, for the installation of frame partitions in scientific and industrial premises (in the field of non-destructive testing).

Installation recommendations

When using barite panels Outline should be guided by technical recommendations for the installation of barite panels, project documentation approved in accordance with the established procedure.

Before the start of the installation of structures, all construction work related to "wet" processes must be completed. Installation and processing of joints must be carried out before the installation of a clean floor in dry or normal humidity conditions at an air temperature of at least +10 °C (SP 50.13330.2012) and a relative humidity of not more than 60%.

In the cold season, before use, it is necessary to withstand barite panels at a temperature of at least +10 °C during the day.

To create radiation protection, panels weighing up to 50 kg are attached to the metal frame with system fasteners (screws).

For the installation of panels, a metal profile and brackets for drywall are used.

For the installation of panels weighing more than 50 kg, the manufacture of special metal frames is required according to the design documentation.
