Sealing of seams of monolithic concrete structures

The material (Abris S-DB 200x2000) is a strip of galvanized iron with a special coating applied to both sides.

Sealing of seams of monolithic concrete structures

Abris S-DB 200x2000 is very easy to install and does not require special skills and equipment.  Thanks to the polymer-bitumen coating, it provides sealing of joints when buried in concrete from 30 mm.  When installed in floor / wall joints, it does not require changing the reinforcement scheme of the foundation slab.  Allows  you to perform work in all weather conditions and mating angles.

The profile should be installed before concreting the structures forming the seam.  When installed in the floor / wall abutment joints, the profile is installed before concreting the slab, directly on the upper reinforcement cage.  When installed in the working (cold) concreting seams, as well as in the abutment seams of the structures formed by the formwork, the profile is installed in the split formwork by crimping.  (additional fastening with self-tapping screws) Installation is carried out using special "omega" -shaped brackets.  The step of the bracket installation is 200-400mm (depending on the step of reinforcement).  The joints of individual elements are overlapped, not less than 50mm.  At negative temperatures (below 0 C), before joining, the profile must be preheated with a blowtorch or hair dryer, avoiding contact of the burner flame with the coating.  It is preferable to install the profile in the middle of the seam section.  A mandatory requirement is compliance with the minimum distance from the edge of the structure at least 75mm and from the reinforcement at least 40mm.  The protective film is removed from the part of the profile to be cast immediately before concreting.

When concreting, it is not allowed to direct the concrete pump jet onto the installed profile.  Concrete mix should be supplied from both sides of the installed profile.  When compacting the concrete mix, do not allow contact between the vibrator mace and the profile.  When compacting the concrete mix, do not allow contact between the vibrator mace and the profile.  The fastening of the profile to the hydraulic keys of the expansion and settlement joints is carried out using special clamping devices

Sealing profile connection technology Abris S-DB

With vertical joints of the sealing profile, bend the end of the tape at an angle of 90 ° from 5-10 cm (Fig. 1).  At the junction, remove the anti-adhesive film (Fig. 2), (Fig. 3), connect the two parts to each other by compression.  The mastic-polymer coating ensures reliable adhesion of the profiles due to its self-adhesive properties (Fig. 4).  To strengthen the joint, the parts can be fastened with self-tapping screws (Fig. 5).  Other types of connections are mounted similarly.

* Plane connections are made overlapping the width of the tape.  The technology is similar to vertical connection.

Technology advantages:

Due to its high adhesion to freshly poured concrete, the profile is able to reliably seal joints under pressure up to 7 bar, and the high elasticity of the coating allows the use of this material on structures exposed to vibration and dynamic impact.
