Sealing tape Abris S-T-LB
The sealant is in the form of a self-adhesive tape, which is covered with an anti-adhesive material on the one hand, and reinforced with a PVC film on the other.
Scope of application:
corrosion protection of the external surfaces of underground gas and oil pipelines, urban underground structures, water pipelines, gas distribution pipelines, pumping and pumping stations, repair of damage sites of polymer coatings of underground pipelines, as well as for the insulation of joints, complex shaped elements and steel tanks in track and base conditions.

Mode of application
The main stages of work performance:
- preparation of the outer surface of steel structures and structures for coating. There should be no traces of moisture, soot, oils on the surface. Surface cleaning must comply with degree 4 according to VSN 008-88;
- application of one-component primer Abris R-NK TU 5775-004-52471462-2003, two-component epoxy primer (PE-MP protective primer) TU 20.30.22-001-59859858-2021 or one-component primer NK-50 TU 5775-001-01297.8. The PE-MP primer is a two-component system. Mixing of the components is carried out at a temperature of the components themselves not lower than +5 °C. The components are mixed immediately before application;
- application of insulating tape Abris S-T on the surface of steel structures and structures;
- work on applying the insulating tape is allowed to be carried out at temperatures from minus 60 °С to plus 60 °С. At an ambient temperature below plus 5 °C, work can only be carried out after the sealant has been exposed for 24 hours at a temperature not lower than plus 15 °C. During installation, it is recommended to use thermal equipment and awnings. The tape should be removed from a warm room immediately before application to a steel structure;
- insulated steel structures should be protected from direct exposure to atmospheric factors and UV radiation if they are stored in an open area at a temperature above +20 °C. In these cases, it is necessary to protect the insulated structure using canopies, covering reflective materials that are resistant to atmospheric factors such as light-stabilized films, foam polymer materials, etc.
When working with sealant, no special protective equipment is required for workers.
